As phase two of the $350 million Scotiabank Arena Reimagination Project continues this season and moves forward into 2025, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) has selected ANC, a leader in digital signage and venue solutions, to oversee new technology integration and provide ongoing support at the downtown arena.
Partnering with CAA ICON, the owner's representative, and joined for the deployment by industry experts PCL Construction and WJHW, ANC brings extensive experience in digital signage and complex multi-phase arena and stadium projects that are focused on driving fan engagement and generating advertising revenue and opportunities.
This phase of the project focuses on a full redesign of the 100 Level concourse and introduces new retail, food & beverage and premium spaces, further modernizing the arena and creating new fan experiences.
Timed with the start of the NHL and NBA seasons last month, ANC completed a reimagination of the arena’s Union Station entrance with custom LG digital signage at a crystal clear 1.5 mm-2.5 mm resolution. This phase features a 1,265-square-foot ceiling display and eight (8) 11-foot-tall entrance displays staggered in a “sawtooth” design through the entrance to create a unique 360-degree immersive visual experience. It also introduces a new digital Real Sports Apparel store display, other entrance wall displays, and numerous new ribbon boards, some extending as wide as 212 feet, throughout the concourse level. The new display integrations create engaging visual experiences, increasing the excitement for fans from the moment they enter the arena.
ANC will complete its work on the 100-level concourse this winter, resulting in 3,000 total square feet of new digital signage. The completion will include (2) LED-wrapped columns, numerous double-sided ribbon boards for the broadcast booth, a broadcast portable wall display, and an additional 30-foot-wide Gate 6 entrance display.
"Owners and sports properties are increasingly recognizing the necessity of upgrading their digital display systems to modernize venues, improve the fan experience and overall atmosphere while also providing greater value opportunities to their premier marketing partners," said Jerry Cifarelli Jr., CEO of ANC & C10 Media. "With our deep expertise as a multi-phase collaborator on best-in-class venue enhancements, we’re excited to continue expanding our international footprint as we contribute to Canada's premier sports and entertainment arena."
Like most ANC long-term collaborators, Scotiabank Arena is not only utilizing the company’s technical expertise across the installation of best-in-class technologies but also their industry-leading complementary venue support services such as preventative maintenance.
